Several years ago, I came from Nigeria, Africa, to spend only four months with my wife in the U.S. But the Lord had his own plan for us. At that time, my wife, pastor Nkechi Anwuli, shared with me the vision God placed in her heart--to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the valley and win souls of all nations. With divine direction, the Lord took us to the city of Moreno Valley, California. Immediately a house fellowship center was established. The house fellowship grew! The Lord began to move in a supernatural way, healing, delivering and setting the captives free! God’s call grew stronger; God came to me in a dream. In the dream, I saw a city filled with dead fish. There were so many fish I hardly had space to stand. As I marveled at this unusual scene, I saw a hand stretched towards me, a tall and huge man, whose face or complexion I could not see, said to me, “Do not marvel at this sight. I will show you what great and mighty things I will do through you.” Suddenly, water sprang forth from the ground and a great river began to form. As the river grew, the fish were revived! He held my hand, and lifted me on top of the water.
Together, we walked through to the other side. On the other side, we came to an area that had hundreds and thousands of people praising and worshipping God; and in the midst, was a man of God, ministering to them. He said to me “that man is you.” I looked closely and realized that man was truly me! In an instant, the man was gone. As I was sharing the dream with my wife, a call came in from one of our prayer partners in Los Angeles. She said that she had dreamed she saw me walking through an impoverished, desolated area, without preaching the word of God to the people on the street. She said, “The Lord is angry with you for not doing what he has sent you to do.” A week later, our sister Yinka called. She stated that the Lord wanted me to know that I should not fear or be ashamed of what man would say, and that I must immediately start a ministry and reach out to the unreached.
The Lord has taken us from our house fellowship to Cadillac Bowling Alley, to sharing space with another church; from there, to leasing a place for the ministry, and finally, to our present location, a 3.0-acre land of our own. All things are possible through the Lord, as he continues to lead our ministry.
